What failure is

A scribble, a puzzle
awaiting a person
A path of hurdles
looking for a true soul

Two weary travelers
tired of all obstacles
O, they seek a light so bright;
the tapestry at the end of the spirals

Along the scribbles
they must travel
A long passage of obstacles
they must conquer
for only then
shall they enter
the door to their salvation
the fruit to their efforts

The brave knightmen
fight through the vines
one’s spirit increases
while the other’s declines

At last when they reach
the staircase that leads
the travelers fall down
both wounded and injured

One cried out,
“I can go no more”
And no efforts avail
for not once does he get up

Another traveler
with a spirit so strong
disregards all wounds
and keeps going on

Not too long he goes
as he reaches
the tapestry
at the path of his wishes
Oh, there he gets
all fruits of his efforts
for failure is not falling down
it’s refusing to get up
